What Is Microdermabrasion ?

More radiant skin is only a treatment away. SILHOUETTE-TONE ESSENTIAL PEEL microdermabrasion system is designed to gradually erase flaws and blemishes. It removes surface cells allowing softer, brighter skin to emerge. Fine lines, hyper-pigmentation acne scars, pore size are reduced.  Fine aluminum Oxide Crystals are used with a device that looks like a tiny sand blaster that sprays the crystals at the skin and then through suction absorbs them back up. This process removes a few layers of dead skin cells revealing new, fresh skin. This boost cell turnover in your skin which means that new cells are being created at a faster pace and collagen production is increased. This will give your skin a fresh new look and can take years off the look of your skin with repeated treatments sun damage, scarring and uneven skin texture and fine lines are gradually reduced.

After a treatment, it is important for the client to keep the skin hydrated with moisturizer for a few days while the body is creating new cells. The skin might continue to peel after the treatment for a few days. A fine scrub or a hydrating mask might be used to remove the flaky skin and then moisturizer applied.

Microdermabrasion Treatment

Skin is cleansed, followed by a scrub to remove dead skin then a enzyme mask is applied to prep the skin for the microdermabrasion solution. Then the skin is dried and goggles are put on the client to protect the eyes from the crystals. Then the microdermabrasion is performed followed by a soothing mask. To finish, serum and moisturizer is applied followed by a mini massage. The treatment takes 1 hour.

For an intense skin makeover depending on age and skin type a treatment every 2 weeks for 6 treatments is recommended as sun damage can go deep into the skin and more treatments are needed. Once a favorable look is achieved maintenance treatments can be scheduled every  1-2 months or every 6 months depending on age and lifestyle.

For a radiant look and a skin refresher, treatments every 4-8 weeks are enough.
